Holtz Comes from the Back to Win at MESA MARIN |

Dan Holtz Wins the STARNURSEREY.COM 200 at Mesa Marin Raceway.
Holtz the 2001 Mesa Marin Track Champion Won his first
Southwest Tour Race by charging hard and being smart. Holtz
who started the race on THE POLE found himself a lap down
because of a missed que in the pits with the officials after
having the best pit stop of his life. Holtz borrowed the WIX
Craftsman Truck Series crew for the night and they did a great
job. After Holtz made his last pit stop he charged through the
field like a bull, picking off one car after another until he
was in the lead and never looked back. When asked about the
race Holtz said "The monkeys of my back and it feels great."
Holtz is looking forward to running the entire Southwest
Series Schedule and as many Super Late Model Races as he can
in 2003. |
