PICTURE PERFECT WEEKEND FOR BURNS- May 24th

Irwindale, Ca.- Newlywed Todd Burns couldn't have asked for any better. Burns wed longtime girlfriend Renee Valk on Friday evening in Newport Beach and the pair spent their first day as husband and wife at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday.
Burns and his team arrived late to the track and missed the first practice, leaving just the final practice. The team was pretty happy with the car in the last practice and made just a couple of minor adjustments before qualifying. Burns clicked his #4 Villa Roma Chevy up to third on the board, placing him in the

second row for the 50-lap Automobile Club Late Model main.
As the 28-car field took the green, Burns began working on the front row cars. Burns quickly got around the #53 of Flores as a caution flew on lap two for a multi-car pileup in turn two forcing a lengthy yellow. At the restart, Burns challenged the #50 of Huddleston diving low and high to finally pass him on lap 27, took the lead, and checked out with the #48 of McComb following a distant second. That victory was Burns' fourth consecutive win. The week prior, Burns took both twin 40 main event wins.
As Burns celebrated on track, he commented, "I can't say enough about this Gary Collins chassis. He has helped us out a bunch and the car is just working real well. My guys here are the best. We put this car in the trailer on Wednesday because of the wedding and I guess she was well rested and was just flat ready to run tonight. Villa Roma Sausage, Maropulos Racing Engines, Ron's Rear Ends, a big thanks to all of them and all our sponsors." Afterwards, Burns stated, "I have to thank Ted Davidson. He brought our truck and trailer out here this morning since we were all still at the beach, and that was a huge help to us." Burns and his new bride, Renee, drove off into the night, back to Newport, in a custom convertible Chevrolet Corvette courtesy of good friend Alan Budnik of Budnik Wheels. Thank you, Alan.
Burns Motorsports will return to Irwindale Speedway on June 7th, along with the Featherlite Southwest Tour.
