Irwindale, CA  Dan Holtz drove his CAL SPAS/ ktracingnascar.com sponsored Ford Taurus to a 3rd place finish in the Super Late Model Main Event at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday Night. Holtz who is a regular in the Southwest Tour Series made the race interesting while he and the 2002 Irwindale Track Champion, Rip Michels, swapped positions throughout the race in some of the closest racing at Irwindale Speedway this year. They were door to door for at least 45 laps splitting cars along the way and running 4 wide. Holtz who was the 2001 Mesa Marin Track Champion said, " The race was great practice for the Southwest Tour Race there on June 7th."  Holtz is running for his first Touring Series Championship. He is 5th place in points with 1 WIN and 1 POLE. Holtz is also driving for the Mesa Marin Raceway Super Late Model Championship where he is in the lead with 2 WINS.
