 Richardson wins 5th late Model Race and maintains the lead in the regional points
Bakersfield, CA- Brian Richardson won his 5th Late Model Main Event at Mesa Marin Raceway on Saturday Night. Richardson Started in the 6th position in his RICH-PAK MOTORSPORTS Dodge Interpid for the first race of the twin 40's at Mesa Marin. After the first lap Richardson was in 3rd place. On lap 20 Richardson passed Brandon Miller on the inside to take over 2nd place. Shortly after that Richardson powered by the #1 car and took the lead and never looked back. This was his third win in a row. Richardson is driving a Gary Collins prepared G-Force Chassis.

    In the second race Richardson had to start midfield with the invert. On lap 12 Richardson narrowly escaped hitting the wall between turns one and two after he was hit from behind and spun out. He quickly got his car running and found himself at the rear of the pack. Richardson had to work himself back up through the field and ran out of time to catch the leaders. Richardson finished in 5th place which was his 10th top 5 finish this year out of 10 Late Model Races.
    Richardson is the Late Model points leader at Mesa Marin Raceway and the points leader for the NASCAR Sunbelt Region which is in the Southwest and Southcentral US. This includes Southern California east to Alabama.
