Bakersfield, CA Dan Holtz will drive his Red Thompson Motorsports #23 Ford Taurus in the first Southwest Tour Series Race in Phoenix this coming weekend. Holtz was 5th in points for the 2003 Southwest Tour Series Championship with 1 WIN and 3 Poles. He also was the Mesa Marin Raceway 2003 and 2001 Super Late Model Champion. Holtz holds the Southwest Tour Series Qualifying Record at Phoenix. He has been contending for the WIN in 2 of the last 3 Southwest Tour Series Races held in Phoenix. The Thompson Motorsports Team has spent the winter preparing for the 2004 season. Ralph, Wes, and Lou put in the extra hours to make the car right. Watkins Engine Development built the Ford Motor being used by the Team. The Thompson Motorsports Team is looking forward to running for the Southwest Tour Series Championship.
