On Friday March 26th,
the weekend will get started with the annual Downtown Bakersfield Motorsports
Festival presented by the Bakersfield Convention and Visitors Bureau. The
“Motorsports Festival” will feature NASCAR teams, and other forms of motorsports
on display on the streets of downtown Bakersfield from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Saturday night,
March 27th, the racing at Mesa Marin will be headlined by the NASCAR
Grand National West Series “Lucas Oil 150”, along with the NASCAR Late Model
season opener and the 911 Race for Youth Series. Racing begins at 6pm.

great success when we partner with Mesa Marin Raceway and are looking forward to
that same success from the Lucas Oil 150,” said Bob Patison, Executive Vice
President of Lucas Oil Products.

Sunday, March 28th will feature a mid-afternoon start
time for the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division Southwest Series “StarNursery.com
150”, preceded by the Speed Truck Challenge Series.
“This will be a
marquee event for the AutoZone Southwest Series in 2004, and we feel it’s a
great way to market our on-line sales store,” stated Star Nursery’s Craig Keough.
Also on Sunday
morning, Mesa Marin will host “The Bristol Brunch”, at the Main Gate Pavilion.
Brunch will be served as the NASCAR Nextel Food City 500 from Bristol, Tennessee
will be shown throughout the Pavilion area on TV monitors.
Tickets are priced
at $20 and $25 for both Saturday and Sunday. The “Bristol Brunch” is $12 in
advance.
